Dimas Salaberrios is a dynamic teacher and speaker with a passion for seeing the Lord consume lives once consumed with hopelessness, darkness and despair.  This unwavering faith led him to fulfill a vision wherein Jesus could show Himself strong and shine the brightest. Therefore, in 2006, Dimas founded and pastored Infinity NY Church located in the Bronx River Housing Projects.  Bronx River holds the distinction of being the birthplace of hip hop, is located in a section of the South Bronx that has the youngest residents in NY State, and also the poorest residents in the entire United States of America.

Dimas is also the Director of Youth for Christ Bronx, which galvanized inner-city youth into making informed decisions about Christ.  He has ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ on every continent except Antarctica.  Some of Dimas’ ministry exploits include preaching throughout New Zealand and igniting a 3 month revival; smuggling Bibles to the persecuted churches in China; training and equipping pastors; running feeding programs for orphans and widows; extensive preaching throughout Kenya; guerilla evangelism in Amsterdam’s notorious Red Light District, on the “tubes” of London, the Alps of Switzerland, the hills of Venezuela and with the gangs of the Bronx; radio ministry and youth leader trainings in South Africa and much, much more!  In 2010, 5 days after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Dimas spearheaded a team who were among the first responders to bring food, aid and ministry.  His efforts created a lifeline for 3 camps in Haiti where he has sent over 50,000 tons of food and water as well as medical assistance.  There is also an ongoing rebuilding effort that has restored 12 family homes to date.   In 2004, Dimas was appointed by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to Co-Chair the Youth Committee of their 2005 Greater New York Crusade.  One of his responsibilities as Co-Chairman was to coordinate the Prayer Breakfast.  A huge success, the Prayer Breakfast was the largest Christian Youth Worker’s gathering ever held in the city of New York, and also the largest in Billy Graham Crusade’s 60 year history.  Dimas was also chosen to be the Saturday Night opener of this historic event- Billy Graham’s last crusade.  Over 240,000 people attended.  For 3 years, Dimas held the post of Associate Chaplain at The Children’s Village- the largest residential treatment facility in the United States-where he pastored nearly 300 “at-risk” young men each week.  Dimas has also worked for World Vision and The Salvation Army.  He is also a frequent contributor to the Love Express, the Tri-State Area’s largest Christian newspaper.

In May 2012, he received his Master of Divinity degree at Alliance Theological Seminary.  He resides in the Bronx, NY with his wife, Tiffany, and their daughters, Dallas and Skylar.

More work to do for the workers I met in Galesburg, Ill., who are losing their union jobs at the Maytag.
